Sunday, January 15, 2007, the talks in Sacrament Meeting were about sin. The talks were very good but one in particular caught my attention because it was poetic. I added a line to those quoted and made a short limerick that goes as follows:

Sin teach more than we want to know.
It takes us where we don't want to go.
We're kept longer than we want to stay.
We must pay more than we want to pay.

Each one will have to judge for him/herself how much truth there is in these lines. The scriptures teach that we are all sinners so this must apply to every one to different degrees. At least there is some food for thought in what is presented.

Here I am playing "Oh Holy Night". I don't know whether the sound will be transmitted or not. I am sure there is a way to do it but a grandson or granddaughter will have to show me how. Every morning I practice a few numbers on my harmonica to exercise my lungs. I use my chromatic so it is possible to play numbers with sharps and flats. Posted by Picasa

This is the new bridge which is being built over the Colorado River below the Hoover Dam. This will make it possible to cross the river without using the dam as a bridge. Twice each year we pass by hear going and coming from Arizona up north. We marvel at the engineering that is being done to make this happen. Posted by Picasa

Little Jack Gannon is the son of Rachel and Steve Gannon. This is a tipical little boy about two and one half years old. He will try different things and likes to be involved. He loves music and wants his own guitar. It will be interesting to watch him grow. Posted by Picasa

This is the first house that Bernice Powell Bingham's grandparents on her father's side built in Upton, Utah, on their homestead. Bernice's grandfather's name was Joseph Fredrick. Powell. He married Mary Rosetta Stevens. I think this old building should have been preserved. Bernice says that the tree in front that is now down on the ground was a gorgeous thing to behold. Posted by Picasa
