Catharina, Robert, Trent, Soleil, Chaya, Ammon and Rex are getting ready to enjoy a fish dinner down at the water front in Rocky Point, Mexico, the night of December 27, 2007. We all went there after we had gotten settled in the Playa Inn Motel. We had some entertainment while we ate and lined up a singer named Pedro for our party the next night.
Brent and Charlotte's son, Michael, flew from Illinois to Mesa the day after Christmas. We hadn't seen him for the two years he served a mission in Canada. While there he served in areas of English, French and Spanish. He does quite well in both French and Spanish. It was great to have him here with us for a week. His cousins occupied most of his time but we did have a chance to visit a little the day before he returned to Illinios. Chad's wife, Joejo, is relaxing against the wall to the right of the picture.
This picture shows Sam Western holding little Max Gannon while Jennifer Bingham tries to get Jack Gannon to stop covering his face. The children belong to Rachel and Steve Gannon. Jennifer and Sam will be sealled for time and all eternity tomorrow, January 12, 2008, in the Mesa, Arizona, Temple. This is a marvelous occassion and we welcome Samuel David Western into our family.
David and Sarah Jones were here with us in Mesa for a week at Christmas time. David is Debra's son. He married Sarah Sacuto who is one of our wonderful adopted granddaughters. They met in Canada while David was attending the university in Montreal. She was born in France and spent much of her early life in France. Her father met her mother in Canada while he was studying engineering. Her mother was raised speaking English so spoke English as their children grew up. Sarah and her brother and sisters are bilingual. David is working on his master's degree in North Carolina. They couldn't go to Mexico with us because Sarah can't leave the United States until she becomes a citizen.
