The ship on the left is the Royal Princess, the ship we sailed on for twenty-one days. It held 750 passengers compared to over two thousand on the ship to the right. With a smaller ship it was possible to go through the Kiel Canal and dock in smaller harbors. We enjoyed getting acquainted with more of the passengers. We finished our cruise here in Estonia on May 20, 2008. The next day we docked in Stockholm, Sweden and flew home from there.

This is a sign with the correct spelling of the community where the ship docked so we could take the train to Cork and taxi to Wilton so we could attend church.

The port where we docked in Ireland was called Queenstown in early days. It is the last place that the Titanic docked before it hit an iceberg and sank. We enjoyed visiting the museum and learning about how and why people left Ireland from this sea port

We took the train from Coahb to Cork and then a taxi from Cork to Wilton so we could attend church on May 11, 2008. We were fortunate to have the address because it is the only chapel within fifty miles. One of the branch members took us back to the train station. We heard some very interesting talks and were able to partake of the Sacrament.

We are under the arch where the tower clock is located. Historical or mithical scenes are depicted in graphic form to conmemorate some event or some individuals. We don't know the history.

This is a close up of the clock in the tower over the street in Rouen, France.

We couldn't help but be impressed with how the people of Rouen, France, put an arch over the street with a clock in the tower.

Inside of the Joan of Arc chapel in Rouen, France, they have stained glass windows with scenes depicting historical feats of Joan of Arc.

We were very much impressed with the beauty of the different ports that we entered. The one in Portugal was very spacious.

This is what we saw as we entered the harbor at Lisbon, Portugal. The bridge that crosses the Tagus River was patterned after the Golden Gate Bridge. The monument to Christ is also seen.

We were surprised to find that they had upgraded us to a room with a balcony instead of just having a room with an ocean view. This made our twenty-one day cruise more enjoyable.

In 1957, the mountain you see behind me came up out of the ocean because of a volcanic eruption. This was on the island of Faial of the Azores. Horta is the capital of Faial, one of the ten islands of the Azores.

We went around the Faial Island in a bus and were impressed by the amount of grazing land and beautiful greenery that we saw every where. We saw small communities all around the island. They were farming communities with colorful buildings.

Our first port to visit, after six days at sea, was Horta on the Island of Faial, Azores. This was a beautiful port and we enjoyed a tour of the island where we saw the volcanos that helped make the island. This was on May 5, 2008.

On April 28, 2008, we left Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on a transatlantic cruise which was to last twenty-one days. The ship was a smaller ship, the Royal Princes, which made it possible to enter smaller ports and to cruise the Keil Canal. We will talk about that later on.
