Sunday, January 15, 2007, the talks in Sacrament Meeting were about sin. The talks were very good but one in particular caught my attention because it was poetic. I added a line to those quoted and made a short limerick that goes as follows:
Sin teach more than we want to know.
It takes us where we don't want to go.
We're kept longer than we want to stay.
We must pay more than we want to pay.
Each one will have to judge for him/herself how much truth there is in these lines. The scriptures teach that we are all sinners so this must apply to every one to different degrees. At least there is some food for thought in what is presented.
